Repair order number in install base

Hi,

In r12, When you go to install base, under the other item instance details, you can see the service request, sales order and repair order details against a particular instance. I wanted to know if the repair order number gets populated on the instance only if the instance number is populated under details tab in repair order?

Reason is I have some instances where we donot have instance number populated at repair order level (details tab) but populated under logitics tab. When i now go to item instance, I can see this order number from logistics tab but not the repair order number in install base.
