Rate Date Change on Processed Payment in R12

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the exchange rate date on a payment in R12 which is already processed?

Here's the scenario: 

Payment was made in a foreign currency.  Payment date, and rate date, are the same date, which is a Sunday date.  We normally do not process payments on weekends.  Payment is looking for a daily "Spot" rate.  The issue:  We normally do not create daily "Spot" rates for Saturday and Sunday dates.  So the payment cannot be accounted due to the "missing" daily Spot rate in the system.
