Credit Memo : Invalid Codes error when trying to complete

Hi Gurus,

I have to make a Credit Memo incomplete and change Gl Date and Complte credit memo, however when trying to complete the Credit memo it shows errors saying

One of the codes is invalid, when verified in GL one of code is invalid,

Options iam thinking of

1. Change the code at the distribution level of the Credit memo

2. Create alternate code for the invalid code, not sure this options works, please let me know your thoughts

3. Make the invalid code enable , complete the code and run accouting and make the code invalid again.

Please let me know which is the good option or any other option you suggest to resolve issue.
