Resource Manager in R12

Just wondering if anyone has implemented Oracle Resource Manager in the EBS suite and if so, what has been the experience? In our situation we want to create a database login, say XXXADHOC, and all adhoc reporting connections will be made through that user. We want to be able to restrict the amount of processing that this user can get if we are under a heavy load such as a payroll run, etc. I’ve read many, many notes on resource manager and understand the concept but am concerned about the effect on the standard applications with introducing resource manager in
