PAY: Cannot Run a Quick Pay with Current Date when Future Dated Payroll Exists.
This situation happens a lot to our payroll staff.
Our payroll periods run from Tuesday through Monday (a two-week period). Checks are usually printed by Wednesday and distributed on Friday with a Friday check date.
During the week, staff will process terminations. If this happens during a payroll processing week, staff might want to create the Quick Pay with a date previous to the regular Friday pay date coming up. The system will not allow staff to do that and states there is a future process in place. They have to date the termination check after the regular paycheck run (after the Friday date).
