OAB - Extending the Open Life Event Date Due to the Storm
Our Benefits Open Enrollment was slated for 10/1/2012 to 10/31/2012. We created the scheduled Life Event for those dates and assigned it to all applicable employees.
Everything has gone great. Now there is a group of employees complaining they need it extended due to the storm.
Looks like management will extend it to 11/7/2012.
Need some guidance with our options - the Life Event is assigned with dates 10/1/12 to 10/31/12.
Once this Life Event is assigned - I can't just globally change this date and update everyone correct?
Is my best shot to: Go ahead and close the Life Event on 10/31/2012. Then create a new, second Open Life Event and make it run 11/1/12 to 11/7/12 and assign it to everyone?
