Import 11g data into a 9i DB

We are AIX 5.3 Oracle 9i for most production finance and HRM db's.  We have a couple DB's that were upgraded to 11g.  We will be changing finance and HRM applications and no longer using Oracle DB's.  I don't believe the applications require the DB to be 11g so I would like to simplify and take the data from the 11g db's and put it back into a 9i db (9.2.0.7).  With the change to datapump in 11g, from import/export in 9i, I'm  not sure the best way to approach this.  I have tried using exp....to get the 11g data.  When I try to
