will huge pages increase performace?

Hi Experts,

  Ours is a 11.5.10.2 apps database.version 10.2.0.5

   SGA -- 8gb
   PGA--5gb
   RAM -- 32gb
   linux -64 bit -- OEL 5.8

    Through Top command it is showing 31 gb is using at any time.

   Our Database performance is poor.

   After searching many Docs i found that Enabling huge pages will increase performace.

       Slow Performance with High CPU Usage on 64-bit Linux with Large SGA [ID 361670.1]
       HugePages on Oracle Linux 64-bit [ID 361468.1]

    Is this good to enable huge pages?

    what are the Advantages and Disadvantages of enabling Huge pages?
