MSCA Transaction to Change Project-Task Assigned to Inventory

Can anyone tell me if there is an MSCA transaction that is used to change the Project and Task that is assigned to inventory on hand without moving the inventory to another Subinventory and Locator?  If there is no MSCA transaction, how can this be accomplished?  We often have residual inventory left over after a Project-Task is closed and we want to reassign that inventory to another open Project-Task.  Thanks for your help.
