Using Advanced Query feature in a Subform

We are just moving to Tools Release 9.1 and one of the new features is the Advanced Query.  We have a PowerForm in which we'd like to use the feature.  The PowerForm contains one subform that allows the users to search and select header records and another subform that allows them to maintain the detail records associated with the selected header record. 

 

We cannot get the Advanced Query feature to work in this PowerForm.  Does anyone know if the advanced query feature can be used for saving query criteria entered in a Subform?
