Account Segment

Hi All,

Am facing below issue please let me know what could be the reason,

we have 9Segments in our COA,One of them is Account,For account segment we created&disabled a new Value  named 543131(Non Sales Staff Incetives) on 01-Sep-2012 and we have passed invoice  on 31-aug-2012 with 55000 of 543131 account(Dr) and posted on 04-nov-2012.

But system didnt given any intimation that this account has been disabled like that but for future dated entrys it is erroring.

My query is,

Why system has allowed to post those journals(Invoices)
