DIstinct Cost for each Iterm/Cost Group solution

Hi All

I am having a requirement to maintain different cost for the same item with in an Sub Inventory and while going through the WMS guide, I found the below note.

"In an Average, LIFO or FIFO costed organizations, a distinct cost is maintained for each Item/Cost Group
combination. In a Standard costed organization, a single Standard Cost is maintained for each item.
All inventory of that item, regardless of Cost Group, carries the same Standard Cost"

Our costing Org is Average Costing and the Organization is WMS enabled, please help to know what are the setup steps to maintain different cost / item. As the requirement is urgent please help to reply at the earliest which is highly helpful and appreciable.
