Can Publishing FSG's to Excel be in the full version and not just a viewer?

Our users have several Excel add-in's including an Essbase add-in. When we publish FSG's Excel opens in more of a Viewer and therefore does not include any add-in's. Is there a way to change that so that reports open to standard Excel and not a viewer?
