Patch 3180164: Error while applying patch 3180164

Hi Team,

Customer is upgrading our application from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10.2 as per note id 316365.1. and while performing the pre upgrade step 8 (8.configure database for new products and new tablespace requirements ), they applied the patch no 3180164 and the patch stopped with the error "AutoPatch error:
Missing file format id in file: /global/u01/bacappl/admin/BAC/restart/adpinit.rf9". They immediately checked the Metalink web site and found the note id 402751.1 relevant to this issue and as per this note id they renamed the adpinit.rf9 file and re ran the patch but still we get the same error.
