Processes Hung and not able to kill extracts or pumps

 I am building a new extract job. it's Oracle 11.2 to oracle 11.2.   on a linux server.  The extract, pumps and replicats were all running for a couple of days then failed.  I want to start over from scratch but I am unable to remove the existing processes.  View Report runs but other ggsci commands just hang forever.  I cannot execute DELETE EXTRACT, KILL EXTRACT, START EXTRACT, STOP EXTRACT... for any of my processes.  I have several other extracts running on this server so I cannot stop the manger or the agent.   I need to kill these processes. 

Has anyone encountered something similar.  Any suggestions welcome.
