Why does my Oracle suddenly die?
In the last week or two, I have started having problems with Oracle 11.2 installations. One such example is:
This instance has worked without problems for a longish while - I don't remember exactly when I installed it. This morning it has suddenly started dying from segmentation violations. I can start it up, run a few select statements, but after a short while (a few minutes) it suddenly dies. The logs talk about:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kdoiur()+5020] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x108] [PC:0x7351C4C] [Address not mapped to object] []
- Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
- Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 s10x_u10wos_17b X86
