'PO Output For Communication' failed

Hi,

The 'PO Output For Communication' program is failing with below error for PO Release Approval from PO screen Tools --> Communication. Its happening only for new releases and completing successfully for old PO releases.Please help me on this.
" genDoc() : Exceptionjava.lang.NullPointerException "

Instance is R12.
