Versioning in OM

Hello all,

When a user updates a fiield an aon a sales order line he enters a change reason (mandatory) and comments. When you go to the Version history I can see the version changes whn I cllick on the compare buttton but I cannot see the Reason code or comments the user has entered. Is this standard. I know this is available under audit control history but we don't want to use this
