Sick notes

Hi

Quesion :

When someone applies for sick leave, they attach a sick note. Do you know if or how long this attachment is stored on the database?

Is it attached to the workflow and does it get purged with the workflow or is it stored somewhere else and is still accessible even after the workflow has been purged?
