snapshot.exe on deployment server

Hello All,Can anyone advise, how snapshot.exe works on deployment server?
While executed on deployment server, it is showing successfully completed the SAVE and I can see the new version under grid but on physical hard drive still it was referring the actual directory i.e. E900.
