Profile option "Sequential Numbering" for Receivables

 

Hello,

At what level we should set the values for profile option "Sequential Numbering". Gapless sequence number doesn't work in receivables if the profile values are set as mentioned in note "How To Setup Gapless Document Sequencing in Receivables (Doc ID 197212.1) "

Unless I'm providing some value at responsibility level, sequence is not generating. But the note says we need to input at site or application level if there is no need at the responsibility level.

What are the different level it has to be set in order for it to generate gapless sequence number for transaction numbering  in Receivables
