Comparison of SQL Server with Oracle database for JDE

I'm posting this question here as I'm interested in any JD Edwards customers that have moved from a SQL Server database (e.g SQL 2008 R2 enterprise edition  to an Oracle one (e.g. Oracle database 11gr2 standard edition - included with the Oracle Technology Foundation).  If possible it would be good to compare with comparable hardware, so it's "like for like". (e.g Intel hardware with Windows/SQL 2008R2 and Oracle/Red Hat Linux/Oracle11gr2)

One issue that has been brought up (and we knew about) is the fact that Oracle database is case sensitive out of the box (and Oracle don't officially support changing this with JDE), however we're interested in any other issues (or even improvements) that customers have discovered when moving from a SQL Server based system to an Oracle one:

Howdy, Stranger!
