Update Approval List Response Using AME Event held in deferred

 Hi,
On a Requisition, as soon as Approver approves the request, ' Update Approval List Response Using AME' event is submitted and continuing in Deferred queue for days.
We have setup 'HR:Defer Update After Approval' to No. We also ran Workflow Background Process. Still it is stuck in the same Deferred Queue.

We didn't face this issue on CRP/UAT instancs. But. showing up on Production.

Any inputs on this are highly appreciated. 

P.S: This is in 11i
