M5000 or T5440 to run TSM 6. It uses DB2 underneath

 Hi all,

I have at my disposal an M5000 and a T5440 to use as a Tivoli Storage Manager 6 server. TSM6 uses a DB2 database underneath.

I believe the M5000 is the better choice due to the database but the T5440 is cheaper to run so my bosses would prefer the latter. I'm finding it impossible
to find something to guide me either way. In both cases they'll have 10Gb ethernet and the rest of the IO slots used for SAN, local disk and tape so the IO
will be high.

Anyone have some good arguments either way?.
