Controlfile Backup is failing

Hi All,

 Database Version : 11.2.0.2

 MML: NetBackup-RedHat2.6 6.5.6

 OS : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4 (Tikanga)

 Backup Tool: RMAN

=========================================================================================

    RMAN Backup is failing with the following error:

RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on CH8 channel at 11/12/2012 01:08:14
ORA-00245: control file backup operation failed

   When we are trying to configure(reset) the snapshot conrolfile location it's throwing the following error:

RMAN> CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/backup/oracle/snapshot/snapcf.f';

old RMAN configuration parameters:
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/backup/oracle/snapshot/snapcf.f';
new RMAN configuration parameters:
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO '/backup/oracle/snapshot/snapcf.f';
new RMAN configuration parameters are successfully stored
