Hyperion Planning Metadata Changes and Deployment

Dear all,

We've got a number of Hyperion Planning applications (ver 11.1.1.3) which seems to require a bit too much effort in terms of maintainance/deployment and I was wondering if you could share some tips/best practices to :

- Reduce manual effort/chance of human error to the minimum
- Reduce/Maximise the deployment timings without affecting performances/application availability

Below some notes on how things work at the moment/some key questions :
- Application DBAs send metadata changes to the IT Support Team in the form of basic excel spreadsheets. Our DBAs cannot perform the metadata changes themselves due to risk of performing tasks that could potentially have impacts on other applications/data/etc.
