Year End Update and PA Local Code on W2

Q - Will the Year End Update for 2012 include the requirement to print the Pennsylvania employee local code on the W2?

A - Yes, the Year End Update will include a change to the W-2 Workfile Detail Build (P06730) program.  The program has been changed to use a new processing option so the user can choose to print a single Tax Collection District (TCD) code in the Locality Name box.  By law, Pennsylvania employers can choose to remit their taxes (city and school) to a single Tax Collection District instead of Tax Collection Districts where each employee worked and had tax withheld.
