How to get an response from embedded external application

Hi,

We have external web application with own UI and Submit button that necessary to embed into Siebel applet. Besides, after that Submit button will be pressed we have to get external application response and write it into Siebel.

Is it possible to get response to Siebel using Presentation Layer Integration (via Symbolic string) after the button is pressed?

Maybe can we open external application inside Siebel applet, for example, using JavaScript and how we can do it?
