Special Information Types in Forms Configurator

Hi
I have created a new template in Forms Config in which I need to use a Special Information Type.
I have defined a Custom Form which restricts the available SITs to the one required but I am unable to get the SIT in question to be available by default, rather than having to be selected (from a list of one) each time by the user.
Is it possible to get the SIT to behave in this way in the Special Information Tab in Forms Config?
Any advice gratefully received!
