Updating Java per note 455492.1

I've been spending most of my day today looking at OAS and Java midway through our EBS R12 conversion test cycle and have a few questions related to note  455492.1:
It appears Java (JDK and JRE) exist in a few different places:
  • 10.1.2 OH/jdk
  • 10.1.2 OH/jre
  • 10.1.3 OH/appsutil/jdk
  • 10.1.3 OH/jdk
  • 10.1.3 OH/jre
Yet the note has us drop the latest Java 1.6 into the 10.1.2 OH/jdk and the 10.1.3 OH/appsutil/jdk and move the old 1.4.2 (not replacing it) JRE in the respective jre directories.  It does not replace the JRE Java locations, and completely ignores the 10.1.3 OH/jdk directory.

Is this accurate?  We've had so many issues surrounding Java and the OAS Oracle Homes I don't want to move on without making sure the process is as accurate as possible.
