EhCache the answer to all problems?

in Oracle WebCenter Sites (MOSC) Question
I wonder if people have encountered any scenarios where it is not advantageous to use Ehcache?
Has anyone encountered issues due to specific scenarios of the way they build content/sites

Do people always use all elements of the cache, cs-cache ss-cache linked-cache and cas-cache?
