Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. BI Publisher (MOSC)

When sending reports by email with output Excel2007 the system sends a file with extension .xml

Hi,

I'm working with Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.5.0

when I send a report via email with output Excel2007 the system sends a file with extension .xml.

If i use output Excel instead it works fine.

Does anybody know why is this happening?

I want to user Excel2007 because it handles better numbers with decimals.
