Cannot find database instance

I am using 12c grid control. I have successfully added the host and deployed the agent. However, the host didn't automatically discover the database on it. I also tried to manually add the database from the host list and it returned nothing found. I am not sure where to start to think about this. We are implementing EBS R12. EBS is new to me and I am not sure the setup process might be different for just the database and EBS instance? Gurus, please advice. By the way, the instance or the host I added was a clone from anothe
