HCC with SMART scan and Cell storage index

We all knew how the Cell storage index be used in cell server and works with SMART scan to deliver high performance I/O and reduce the netwrok load between storage server and DB severs. We also are updated by ORACLE, HCC is good for DW and improve application performance also. However, does Storage index and SMART scan still work to reduce the I/O when the table had been applied HCC compression ? If so, how it works ? If not, how to justify the performance diffs between Cell Server in memory storage indexes and SMART scan ?

Had anybody done such testings to find the diifs for this ? and any knowledges or DOCU can be shared for HCC works wirh Cell storage indexes and SMART scan?
