FRA getting filled up.

 Hi All,
My FRA is 98% full and rman FRA backup is not working and it is using asm disc group where I do not have any other space available for it.
It is a production box and we have file system space available so can we change FRA dest to normal filesystem . Also we can not delete archive logs as it is required for the recovery.

There is no obsolete backup in FRA. This is a typical scenario. Please suggest best action plan if anyone could have handled it.
