Link between order line and order line promotion

Hi,
If we have a promotional modifier that states for qty 1 of ITEM X Get qty 1 of ITEM Y and we made an order with ITEM X which generated a new line with ITEM Y.
What is the link between Order line 1 and Order line 2? (We need to know the link between the bonus line and the line that generated it).
 I was not able to find that link, please advise.
