Reinstatement of Assets

 Below are the details :

Place in service : 1-Jan-2010

Retired : 31-Dec-2010

Re-instated : 31-Dec-2010

So does the place in service will change to 31-Dec-2010 / not? . No depreciation will be calculated for Re-instated assets. The only purpose of Re-instatement is that we can still use the asset.

Do validate my understanding and throw some light.
