Windows Active Directory Authentication

Hello, we are new to Oracle DB and we have just installed 11.2.0.1.0 Standard Edition on windows Server 2008 R2 for use with Documaker.  We are currently using the default password support for authentication and assignment of roles and privileges.  There are currently a limited number of users.  We will need to grant several developers access to the DB with limited privileges and  our  administrators would like to use Windows Active Directory Services for authentication.  I have been reading the Oracle documentation and I am a bit confused so I would like to present some question for clarification/direction.

1)      First, can Windows Active Directory be used with Standard Edition or does it require Enterprise Edition and installation of additional software?

Howdy, Stranger!
