Link between Order Line and Order Line Promotion

Hi,
I have already created this post under Advanced Pricing Community and got no answer so I decided to recreate it here under Order Management since it is related to both communities, maybe it's more likely to get an answer here..

If we have a promotional modifier that states for qty 1 of ITEM X Get qty 1 of ITEM Y and we made an order with ITEM X which generated a new line with ITEM Y.
What is the link between Order line 1 and Order line 2? (We need to know the link between the bonus line and the line that generated it).
