Why does Create Accounting include Depreciation Expense JE in an "Addition" Process Category?

Here is the situation. Current Open Period is NOV-12 (Entered Period). Asset is entered with a DPIS of 15-Oct-2012 (OCT-12 Effective Period) and a Monthly Prorate Convention. The asset is entered with a Cost, but the YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation are left at 0.00

After adding asset Create Accounting is run (Depreciation has not been run). This produces a Journal Entry with a Category of "Addition". The Journal Entry includes Debit/Credit to Asset Cost and Asset Clearing. The JE also includes Debit/Credit to Depreciation Expense/Accumulated Depreciation. Depreciation Expense should not be part of the Addition entry (especially since Depreciation has not been run).

Howdy, Stranger!
