Product returns

Although this is an OPM Quality specific question, this will also be posted on Logistics.  Looking for ways to ensure that a product lot being returned will inherit the current lot status, whether there is a current onhand qty or there is a zero onhand. The issue is that if a product lot has been a status of HOLD anything being returned must also have the same status, without the receiving personnel make a decision and by mistake the product lot is put back into inventory where it can be allocated to an order, etc.
