External table Limitations

Hi ,

Oracle Release 11.2.0.3.0

I am going to use external table for loading my Oracle tables. I want to know the limitations of the load using external table. One thing that I noticed is "There is no proper log file as it used to be for sqlldr log where we can see the no of records loaded vs rejected.". Please let me know, it will be really helpful.
