R12 GL: 2 lines in xla_ae_lines as comapred to 1 line in gl_je_lines for same Journal batch havind o

Hi there,

We recently upgraded from 11.5.10.2 TO R12.13.

One of our SQL query meant to pull journal line information from XLA tables and GL tables have failed because we see that for a given single JE BAtch having only one header has 2 lines in xla_ae_lines while in gl_je_lines has only one line.

Additionally, we see that the amount has been summed up in gl_je_lines(30) as compared to two lines in xla_ae_lines(10 + 20).

Seems that there is merging happening.

Can someone please explain this issue/concept ?

How do we rectify technically/functionally ??
