LCM as a service cost update

Dear all,

we are implementing LCM as black box , my concern is weather item cost update is done after goods are received or when invoice is raised validated and approved .In a scenario where 300 USD is the PO price and 60 USD is the freight . when goods are completely received does the system update price with freight charges or when invoices are created . In the above example what happens if invoice is being generated after the periods are closed and invoice is submitted  does system generate journal entries like retroactive pricing. if we use advanced pricing for LCM, does item
