Merging cells in Combined Report

I feel like I'm missing something simple and hoping someone can help.

I'm reporting on Opportunity, Cust04, Cust14, and Cust08. I've joined four reports via union and it seems to be displaying all the data, but the rows fracture at the related object columns making empty cells. Currently, a few Opportunity records take up the entire vertical screen.

Is there a way to combine all the column data related to a single row, or remove the empty cells?

All the related object data is text. I've tried setting all the columns to 'supress', I've tried tricking the pivot table into using the related information columns as Measures. No dice.
