WL 11g Apache 2.2.14 Plugin throws error on apachectl start - AIX 6.1 64bit

 Hi,
I'm trying to install the Apache Plugin for the WLS 11g (10.3.6) in AIX 6.1 and using the downloaded archive WLSPlugins11g-11.1.1.6.zip. The Apache version is 2.2.14, the OS is AIX 6.1 64bit

After having configured httpd.conf (mainly: LoadModule weblogic_module modules/mod_wl.so) as pointed out in the documentation, along with the environment variables, I get the following error on startup:

/usr/IBMAHS/bin> apachectl start
httpd: Syntax error on line 117 of /usr/IBMAHS/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/IBMAHS/modules/mod_wl.so into server: \t0509-022 Cannot load module /usr/IBMAHS/modules/mod_wl.so.\n\t0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a valid format.
