How to Start ?

Hi,
Basically I am a Manufacturing Consultant in JDE1.
My management wants me to self learn the Technical side to develop from very easy drag & drop kind of reports to advance individual application with needs to be update, insert, etc in to an customize table.
In lieu of the above, I am seeking your best advise and how to schedule and enhance my skill in the technical side ???
