Can not delete disk in 'metaset'

edited Nov 29, 2012 6:23PM in Oracle Solaris Volume Manager (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered
All,
In an SC3.3 environment I cannot remove a single disk from a diskset:

# metaset

Set name = ecmprdtel-ds, Set number = 1

Host                Owner
  host1           Yes
  host2

Drive  Dbase

d5     No

d437   Yes

I then try to remove "D5".

#  metaset -s ecmprdtel-ds -d -f d5
metaset: e44s031p: ecmprdtel-ds: drive /dev/md/ecmprdtel-ds/dsk/d5 is not in set

The disk D5 equates to a disk that is no longer "physically" attached to the servers.

How do I 'purge' this single disk entry from the metaset??

Many thanks!!

Howdy, Stranger!
