RMAN crosscheck command issue

Dear All,
Backup directory: /backup/XX/archivebkp/

Backup directory contain backups from 24-Oct-12 to till date.

Backup for archivelog.

when i am trying to crosscheck backup pieces, rman crosschecking from 14-Nov-12 to till date.

CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 30;
Command:  crosscheck backup of archivelog all; and list backup of archivelog all;

Issue: backups are available from 24-Oct-12 to till date on the same location, but i am not able to list or crosscheck old backup pieces.
