Benchmarking to determine effects of AMM

Currently we have an Oracle instance that is not using Automatic Memory Management) although I'm not sure why it was setup this way.

I would like to determine if AMM would be beneficial to us. Since this is a production server I cannot make any changes until they are certified by our labs.

What benchmarking utilities/queries/etc could we use to determine the effects of implementing AMM in labs?

We are running Oracle 11gR2 EE on a Solaris 10 box...
